NPW Water Pumps H-36 Editorial Review
The NPW H36 Engine Water Pump is a product that has had mixed reception by customers. One customer, who built several Honda engines, expressed his disappointment that the water pump only lasted a little over 13,000 miles and how it was visibly leaking from the weep hole. Another customer, who installed it in a JDM B16A, had no leaks or overheating problems. The same person mentioned using a small amount of hondabond as the gasket did not sit perfectly, but the job was done with no leaks. A third customer believed the product was of good quality and superior to OEM, with dowel pins, good casting, and a finish just like the factory part. The gasket was inferior to OEM, and the reviewer put a few dabs of Hondabond in the groove to keep the gasket in place while installing it. They also mentioned that the H36 is a quality OEM replacement part, and the quality appears to be the same as OEM. Positive feedback did not mention any overheating or leaking problems. Finally, a reviewer mentioned that they were happy about the quick delivery and that it was 100% made in Japan.
