Basket Case 2 picks up right where the first movie ends, following Duane and his mutant twin Belial as they escape from the hospital and seek refuge in Granny Ruth's mutant commune. This movie is even more comically cartoonish than the first installment, with a tremendous amount of latex monster work that is sure to please monster movie fans. Although the writing isn't always great and the movie isn't a huge jump in gore or violence from the first one, it's still an enjoyable watch. The blu-ray has excellent picture quality and comes in a good case, although bonus material is lacking.
