It has a range of between 30 to 130 dB, and four LEDs that alert users when the sound level goes below or above the user's limit set-point. This device can be powered by batteries, which are not included in the package or via an AC adapter. Unfortunately, it doesn't have the capability of recording for more than 8 hours, and the microphone is not detachable. However, it is a great product that is well worth the investment.
