The stick-free surface may last for a long time but it's still uncertain given the pattern of some reviews that claim that food sticks and stops becoming non-stick after a few months, despite taking care of the pan per the instructions given. The Scanpan Classic 8 Quart Covered Casserole is a bit pricey at almost $200, but it is worth it for a durable non-stick pan that performs a variety of kitchen tasks.
