The Children of Hurin is a posthumously published work of Tolkien, edited by his son Christopher Tolkien. It is a dark and grim story that takes place in the world after the end of the world. Humans have fallen under the control of cruel men, and the remaining elves have retreated and are in hiding. The story follows the tragic life of Túrin, a charismatic warrior with a curse and an inability to love, as he struggles to survive in this bleak world. The book features great illustrations by Alan Lee.
