Masters Contact Cement 8oz is a strong adhesive with a permanent bond between surfaces. The glue is applied to both surfaces and left to dry for about 10 minutes. It's perfect for leather against leather but may not work for thin leather to brass or synthetic felt to upholstery foam. A year after being opened and used for shoe repair, it can still be used. However, some users have noted that it is not a permanent solution for attaching leather and metal. If you need to attach leather to metal, rivets or Chicago screws provide a better solution.
