This sensor fits different BMW models including the 2004 BMW 530i with an M54 engine. Installing the sensor might not be easy if you have big hands, but you can use a small Allen key to remove the single screw. Moreover, the sensor worked like an OEM crank sensor for some customers. However, some customers had problems with this sensor. Some said that it was not electrically compatible with their vehicle or did not work with their BMW model at all. For instance, one customer mentioned that even though the part fit physically, it was not electrically compatible with their 2003 BMW 325i vehicle.
